Dubai-Sharjah ferry service resumes

The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has resumed its ferry services between Dubai and Sharjah after it has been suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The ferry service offers daily trips between Dubai’s Al Ghubaiba Marine Station and Sharjah’s Aquarium Marine Station. The journey will take about 35 minutes which provides a convenient alternative to bypass traffic congestion The ferry will be running 50 times per week. From Monday to Thursday, journeys from Sharjah will be at 7am and 8:30am, while journeys from Dubai is at 7:45am. For evening departures, journeys from Sharjah will start at 4:45 pm and 6:15 pm, while journeys from Dubai will be at 4pm, 5:30pm and 7pm. On Fridays to Sundays, the departure times from Sharjah will be at 12pm, 2pm, 4pm and 6pm, while Dubai has departures at 3pm, 5pm and 8pm. Ticket prices are Dh15 for silver class and Dh25 for gold class. The ferry ride is free for children under 5-years-old and people of determination.JAC/Expat Media
