Dubai South is set to become a cultural landmark with the launch of a new cultural district, featuring the first-of-its-kind floating opera house. On September 17, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, reviewed the ambitious project located within the Azizi Venice community, which was launched by Azizi Developments. The cultural district aims to provide an ideal environment for artists and entrepreneurs, fostering creativity and supporting the thriving cultural scene in Dubai. It will host cultural festivals, events, and entertainment activities, offering a comprehensive platform for artists to showcase their talent. The new opera house, designed to be the largest of its kind in the Middle East, will be equipped to host international art exhibitions and performances, attracting artists and cultural enthusiasts from around the world.

Floating opera house in Dubai

The Azizi Venice Opera House will become the second opera house in Dubai. The project on the water is part of the Azizi Venice community by Azizi Developments. The massive opera house with a gold-finish exterior will be able to seat 2,000 people and will be set up for musicals, concerts, ballets and theatre productions. Its location will give visitors expansive views of the Crystal Lagoon and Dancing Fountain. Azizi Venice, the location for this cultural hub, covers 24 million square feet and is part of the larger Dubai South master plan, which aligns with Sheikh Mohammed's vision of making Dubai one of the best cities in the world to live and work. Azizi Developments announced that Azizi Venice would be a freehold development offering a blend of residential and retail spaces. The community will feature upscale retail outlets, gourmet dining options, premium hotels, and recreational facilities such as cycling and jogging tracks, all within a waterfront location. This project is the latest in a series of initiatives aimed at transforming Dubai South into a vibrant urban center.
