Dubai St Mary’s Church to reopen on February 1: New rules to know

DUBAI – The St. Mary’s Church in Dubai is reopening its doors for public masses beginning on Monday (February 1). This comes after the Catholic church was closed since March last year as part of precautionary measures against the spread of coronavirus. Parish priest Fr. Lennie Connully announced that the church has received permission from the Community Development Authority (CDA) to hold Holy Mass within its premises. Fr. Connully said two masses will be held daily starting on Monday, at 6:30am and at 7pm. The church will remain closed at other times. Both masses will also be live streamed. “We hope more concessions from the authorities will follow when we conduct ourselves well and prove efficiency in crowd management,” the parish priest said.
