At Hatta Dam, Dubai.
Dubai’s much-anticipated Stand-Up Paddle (SUP) event is back for its second edition at the picturesque Hatta Dam as part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge 2024. Scheduled for November 2, this year’s event promises an even more thrilling experience with added activities, including free kayaking, mass participation challenges, and sunset yoga. Organized by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), the event promises to be an action-packed day of fitness and fun, including 45-minute SUP sessions, sunset yoga, and free kayaking for the first time. Following the success of last year’s event, which saw over 1,000 participants, this year’s edition offers expanded activities for all ages and skill levels. From beginner paddlers to seasoned enthusiasts, the SUP sessions will cater to all, with expert coaches providing guidance. Younger participants, aged six and above, will also have their own 30-minute training sessions, ensuring a family-friendly atmosphere. "The Dubai Stand Up Paddle event is a testament to our city’s commitment to promoting active and healthy lifestyles for everyone," said Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of Dubai Sports Council. "This year’s event not only showcases the beauty of Hatta but also encourages a more active and healthier community." In addition to paddleboarding, participants can take advantage of complimentary kayaks, with a one-hour session available to all SUP registrants. The event will also include a communal mass participation challenge, as well as a serene sunset yoga session to end the day on a peaceful note. SUP boards and kayaks will be provided on-site, and free shuttle bus services will be available from Dubai World Trade Centre to Hatta. Special deals for families and group activities will also be on offer, making this an event not to be missed.
