An SUV and a quad bike were impounded after their drivers performed stunts in camping areas for families, according to Dubai Police. The separate incidents happened in Al Ruwayyah, with police saying that the drivers were found “endangering their own lives and those of others”. The two drivers have been summoned for performing stunts and for reckless driving, said Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police. Al Mazrouei said that the drivers are now in police detention to face further legal procedures. Under Dubai traffic laws, the drivers would also need to pay a fine of Dh50,000 to release their impounded vehicles. Al Mazrouei urged the public to report reckless drivers through the Police Eye service on the Dubai Police app or by calling the hotline 901. ICA/Expat Media
