Dubai prosecutors have referred a 17-year-old Asian boy to juvenile court for theft, impersonation of a police officer, and alcohol abuse. Bashayer Issa Al Hammadi, deputy attorney general for family and youth prosecutors, said the accused, posing as a police officer, assaulted a person and stole his wallet on a street while drunk. During his interrogation, the accused admitted to posing as a policeman twice and beating a person in a public place in Dubai. He said: "We were jostled while we were walking on a street, then we insulted each other and fought, as I was drunk." However, he denied the charge of theft. Al Hammadi added that the accused was taken to the Department of Family and Juvenile Affairs, where he was questioned before the investigation continued and was completed. He was found involved in a robbery, twice impersonating a police officer, and abusing alcohol in cases other than those permitted by law. For this reason, the Public Prosecutor's Office has ordered that the suspect be presented to the Juvenile Court to be punished according to the indictment.
