Dubai transforms streets with artwork, murals, installations In line with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Dubai Culture and Arts Authority has begun the implementation of Dubai's Public Art Strategy. It aims to transform the emirate into an open, accessible, and global art gallery, providing exceptional artistic experiences that enhance visual culture and the spirit of innovation and contributing to the enrichment of the region's cultural and artistic scene while supporting Dubai's creative economy. This initiative demonstrates Dubai Culture's commitment to empowering creatives and collaborating with multiple institutions and stakeholders to turn Dubai's streets, neighborhoods, and public spaces into tourist and cultural destinations. The Authority's goal is to transform Dubai's public spaces with artwork, sculptures, paintings, murals, and art installations that reflect the emirate's creative identity and provide an engaging social space between artists and the general public. This improves access to art and creates a sustainable creative environment, keeping with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) goals, which aim to double Dubai's GDP by 2033. BKM/ Expat Media
