Two women were imprisoned after kidnapping and detaining another woman who defrauded them of Dh2,000 The case began in July when a person submitted a report alleging that his female coworker had been kidnapped, assaulted, and detained by two women. According to the complainant's account in the investigation, he received a message with photographs of his female coworker dressed immodestly and with bruises on her face. He further stated that after receiving pictures of his colleague, he received a call from one of the two accused. She asked him for Dh2,000 for them to release his colleague. He was given an hour to provide the amount. After promising to pay her, he informed the police of the incident. According to police records, a CID squad arrived where the victim was being held and apprehended the two kidnappers. They admitted to detaining the victim, who had previously misled them by offering them a job as security guards in a company where she works. The victim received Dh2,000 from the two suspects in exchange for providing work for her and the other accused, but she did not fulfill her promise and turned off her phone, so they could not contact her. The Court of Appeal in Dubai upheld the Court of First Instance's decision to sentence the two women to three years in prison. BKM/ Expat Media
