A Gulf national woman has been sentenced to six months in prison, fined Dh20,000, and ordered deported after completing her sentence, following an assault on Dubai Police officers while intoxicated in a public place. The Dubai Criminal Court heard that the woman, identified as R.H., was arrested while intoxicated and causing a disturbance in a public area. When police intervened, she physically assaulted officers and hurled obscene language at them. Court records indicate that she attempted to resist arrest, prompting authorities to detain her and file multiple charges, including public intoxication, rioting, and assaulting police officers. In addition to the six-month jail term, the court referred the case to a civil court for additional liabilities related to her actions.
