Dubai woman and lover murder, burn husband in Al Ghusais

  DUBAI – A woman from Comoros Islands and her lover murdered her husband and then burned his body near a warehouse in Al Ghusais, the Dubai Police officials revealed on Saturday (October 29). The incident came to light after police received a report on October 15 about a body found on fire near the warehouse in the industrial area. Responding policemen found a burning corpse at the scene. Investigators were able to identify the victim as a man from Comoros Islands, and interrogated his wife. “Upon questioning her on the whereabouts of her husband, the woman claimed that he disappeared 14 days ago after he went fishing. But on further questioning, she admitted having an affair with her husband’s friend, which led to the murder,” said Lt Gen Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina, Dubai Police Chief. Police said the woman was involved in an affair with another Comoros national who helped her murder her husband. Police also arrested the woman's lover, who admitted to the crime. The suspect, a friend of the victim, tied up the man's hands and legs before letting him sit in the car and driving him to a remote area in Sharjah's Al Tai district where he hit him on the head with a big stone. The victim was bleeding profusely but still alive when the suspect put him back in the car and drove him back to the woman's residence where they plotted how to get rid of his body. The duo then headed to Al Ghusais Industrial Area where they were going to burn the body. “He felt that the victim was still alive so he dragged him to the rear door and struck his head multiple times and ran him over until he made sure that the victim was dead,” said Lt Gen Al Mazeina.
