Dubai Police have arrested a young man who was caught performing dangerous motorcycle stunts in Quranic Park, Al Khawaneej. Police said the incident took place on Sunday (August 17), when patrols spotted the biker riding a motorcycle without a number plate and performing stunts on one wheel along the park’s walkway. “Traffic patrols followed him cautiously for nearly an hour before stopping him inside a garage complex,” said Brigadier Juma Salem bin Suwaidan, Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police. Checks revealed that the motorcycle was wanted for several accumulated violations and had expired registration. The offender was referred to the competent police station for further investigation. Authorities reminded residents that driving without number plates carries a Dh3,000 fine, 23 black points, and vehicle impoundment for up to 90 days. Reckless driving and endangering others also incurs a Dh2,000 fine, 23 black points, and impoundment. Brigadier bin Suwaidan urged parents to monitor their children, stressing that guardians may face legal responsibility if minors engage in such reckless behavior. “Parents have a duty to supervise their children, and a lack of awareness of their actions does not exempt them from responsibility,” he warned. Dubai Police reiterated their zero-tolerance stance towards reckless driving and urged residents to report violations via the “Police Eye” service on the Dubai Police Smart App or the “We Are All Police” hotline at 901.
