Dubai’s Jumeirah Bay Island, also known as Billionaires’ Island, continues to attract A-listers and the ultra-wealthy with exclusive mansions upwards of Dh200 million. The latest A-lister to reportedly buy a property on Jumeirah Bay Island is Cristiano Ronaldo, although the football star’s representatives have yet to confirm this. Nevertheless, the so-called Billionaires’ Island has one of the highest property prices in Dubai due to its exclusivity, according to Farooq Syed, CEO of Springfield Properties. Syed said the “highly exclusive” Jumeirah Bay Island only has 124 villas, compared to nearly 2,000 villas on Palm Jumeirah. Each of the exclusive villas has “infinite views of the sea”. “Villas there on the island are priced at Dh200 million to Dh300 million and above," Syed said, adding that each villa has amenities that include luxury saunas, spas and gyms. Dubai's elite island neighborhood is made in the shape of a titanic seahorse. Jumeirah Bay Island is home to the Bvlgari Resort & Residences Dubai and the Bvlgari Yacht Club where superyachts are berthed. Construction of the 27-storey Bvlgari Lighthouse is underway. Last year, a penthouse in Lighthouse was sold for Dh410 million.
