Dutch national is Dubai Duty Free's newest millionaire

  DUBAI – A Dutch national has won US$1 million or Dh3.6 million after his ticket was drawn on Tuesday by Dubai Duty Free officials as part of the company's Millennium Millionaire Promotion. The latest millionaire is Piao Ma of Gelderland, whose ticket was picked by officials in a raffle held at the Dubai International Airport Concourse A. His ticket number was 1722. The raffle organizers said in a statement that Ma "will be pleasantly surprised when he finds out that he just became the latest US$1 million winner." Meanwhile, two Indian nationals won huge prizes in the Dubai Duty Free Finest Surprise Promotion draw. Vijay Bhatia won a Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe in Series 1659 while Uvaisudeen got a BMW S1000 bike in Series 309. Bhatia is a banker and had been participating in the promo, according to reports. Bhatia, who is vacationing in London, has been informed of his win, Dubai Duty Free said.
