Duterte allies sweep Senate race among Filipino voters in Bahrain

In a show of unity for the Duterte political movement, Filipino overseas voters in Bahrain backed all 12 candidates endorsed by the former president’s PDP Laban party in the 2025 elections. Despite Bahrain having a smaller voter base compared to the UAE and Saudi Arabia, the results mirrored the growing influence of the so-called "DuterTEN" slate—ten original PDP Laban candidates and two late additions: Imee Marcos and Camille Villar, both endorsed by Vice President Sara Duterte. Former president Rodrigo Duterte also personally endorsed Gringo Honasan. The vote in Bahrain proved consistent with the regional trend: all 12 Senate seats went to Duterte-backed names, with Bong Go leading the poll at 3,218 votes, followed by Bato Dela Rosa and Rodante Marcoleta. The vote count reflected Duterte's influence among OFWs who associate the previous administration with pro-migrant policies.
