Education authorities to begin inspecting private schools in UAE
Education authorities are set to inspect private schools in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah, with their findings expected at the end of the year. The inspections are intended to ensure that schools perform well in all areas, provide parents with a comprehensive knowledge of what schools offer, their strengths and shortcomings, and assist them in finding the best one for their children. The schools are rated as outstanding, good, acceptable, and unacceptable - with the top-rated schools qualifying for the highest fee increases. The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), Dubai's private school authority, is now examining schools, with reports due in August. The Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) is currently conducting inspections in private schools but has yet to state when the results will be released. The Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) also began the first part of its inspection program in October 2022, and 36 private schools have been inspected thus far.
