Victim was supposed to play with other kids in a game area but defendant lured her into a room and abused her

DUBAI - An Egyptian chef has been charged of kidnapping and sexually abusing a seven-year-old Jordanian girl last December. The 21-year-old defendant lured the girl into a room under the stairs of a residential building in Dubai where he molested her. Court records showed that the girl went out of their house to play with other children in a game area of a residential tower at the International Media Production Zone when the defendant saw her in the elevator. The defendant asked the girl where she was going and she replied that she was going to the game area. The chef however lured the child to a room under the stairs of the building and abused her there. After the molestation, the defendant told the girl now to tell anyone about what happened The girl rushed back home and told her father about the incident, who informed the police. The chef was arrested by the police and accused of abducting the girl and molesting her. The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charges when he appeared in a hearing at the Dubai Court of First Instance. Presiding judge Fahd Al Shamsi will appoint a lawyer for the defendant when the court reconvenes on April 19.
