RTA announces bus, metro during Eid Al Fitr

The Dubai Metro, trams, and buses will operate at the following times throughout the Eid Al Fitr holiday, according to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). Residents will have either four or five days off starting on Thursday, April 20, depending on when the Moon is sighted to mark the beginning of the Islamic festival.

Metro, tram, buses

From Thursday to Saturday, 5am to 1am, and on Sunday, 8am to 1 am, Metro Red and Green Line stations will be open. From Thursday to Saturday, 6am to 1am, and the Dubai Tram will be in operation on Sunday, 9am to 1am. Public bus stations in Dubai will be open from 6am until 1am. The first and last Metro trips will be timed to coincide with the opening and closing of Metro feeder bus stations.

Vehicle testing centers

From Ramadan 29 to Shawwal 3, customer service desks at vehicle testing facilities will be closed for the Eid Al Fitr holiday. On Shawwal 1 and 2, the vehicle testing service for technical inspection will be closed. Centers for customer satisfaction will be closed throughout the holiday. The RTA's Head Office and the smart centers at Umm Ramool, Deira, Al Barsha, Al Manara, and Al Kifaf will run continuously as usual. KD/Expat Media
