Tesla CEO Elon Musk has informed Twitter employees that he will not lay off 75% of the company's employees when he takes over the microblogging platform. According to previous reports, Musk will eliminate 75% of Twitter's global workforce, about 5,600 employees. Musk arrived at Twitter's headquarters in San Francisco late Wednesday and assured employees that he would not lay off many people. Musk has casually suggested laying off Twitter employees in his tweets but has not provided a figure. Twitter employees are still concerned about the expected layoffs as part of the takeover, which is set to end on Friday. The Wall Street Journal reports that banks and lenders have begun contributing $13 billion in cash to support Musk's $44 billion takeover of Twitter. BKM/ Expat Media
