Emirates NBD, one of the Middle East’s leading banking groups, has claimed two prestigious titles at The Banker’s 2024 awards: "Bank of the Year in the UAE" and "Best Private Bank in the UAE." The "Bank of the Year: award reflects Emirates NBD’s robust performance, including a record profit of Dh19 billion for the first nine months of 2024. The bank’s CEO, Shayne Nelson, highlighted the achievement: “This recognition underscores our unwavering commitment to innovation, customer satisfaction, and sustainable growth.” A key driver of Emirates NBD’s success has been its focus on technological advancements. In 2023, the bank launched ENBD X, a digital wealth platform integrated into its mobile banking app, offering over 1.4 million users access to diverse investment options. Emirates NBD’s commitment to sustainability also played a role in its recognition. The bank’s Green Bond issuance, worth $750 million, was the largest of its kind in the MENAT region. “Sustainability is at the core of our strategy,” said Nelson. “Our ESG frameworks and green initiatives set benchmarks for the industry.” The "Best Private Bank" award highlights Emirates NBD’s dedication to personalized wealth management services.
