Emirates will operate more than 100 flights to and from Dubai on Thursday and Friday (March 5 and 6) as regional airspace gradually reopens. The airline said it is currently operating a reduced flight schedule while monitoring developments affecting airspace across parts of the region. An Emirates spokesperson said the flights will transport passengers to their destinations while also carrying essential cargo, including perishables and pharmaceuticals. The airline said it will continue rebuilding its flight schedule step by step depending on airspace availability and operational requirements. Safety remains the airline’s top priority, according to the spokesperson, adding that Emirates continues to monitor the situation closely and adjust operations when necessary. Passengers have been advised to go to the airport only if they have a confirmed booking. Customers are also encouraged to check the airline’s website and official social media channels for the latest updates before travelling.

Flight suspensions by airlines

Several airlines have temporarily suspended their regular commercial flights to and from the UAE due to airspace closures. Only limited flights and repatriation flights are being allowed.
