Emirati dentist infected by Covid-19 patient

  DUBAI – An Emirati dentist who got infected with Covid-19 from a patient is recovering at a hospital in Ras Al Khaimah. Dr. Muhra Abdul Rahim Al Awadi was recovering at the Obaidullah Elderly Hospital in Ras Al Khaimah, one of the hospitals allocated for the treatment of Covid-19 patients. Dr. Al Awadi was visited by Dr. Mohamed Salim Al Olama, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP). Al Olama had expressed his appreciation for Dr. Al Awadi’s “diligence and dedication”, calling her a national example of “giving, loyalty and sacrifice”. For her part, Dr. Al Awadi thanked Al Olama for the visit, which she said motivated her to continue to work diligently after her full recovery. The dentist said she is receiving outstanding medical care through the UAE’s innovative stem cell therapy. She said she doesn’t currently have symptoms of fever or breathing difficulty and that she is recuperating with the help of medical staff at Obaidullah Hospital.
