Emirati businessman Hamad Bin Ahmed Bin Salem Al Hajri has made one of Dubai’s biggest charitable endowments this year—donating seven buildings worth Dh110 million to the Endowments and Minors’ Trust Foundation (Awqaf Dubai). According to Awqaf Dubai, the donation will support charitable, educational, and community development initiatives, with proceeds from the properties dedicated to ongoing humanitarian causes. Al Hajri said the endowment was made in his name and in honor of his late parents and UAE's founding father. “This contribution continues the values of generosity instilled by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and upheld by our leaders,” Al Hajri said. Ali Al Mutawa, Secretary-General of Awqaf Dubai, praised the donation, saying it strengthens the UAE’s legacy of giving. “This endowment enhances Dubai’s position as a hub for sustainable humanitarian work and inspires others to contribute to charitable causes,” he said. Awqaf Dubai currently manages Dh11.1 billion worth of assets, comprising 1,043 endowments from 578 donors.
