Three Emirati fishermen in their twenties were rescued by bystanders after being stranded by a sudden high tide in Al Rams City, Ras Al Khaimah. The incident occurred on Monday (November 18). According to Ras Al Khaimah Police, the young men became trapped when rising sea levels prevented them from returning to shore. One of the fishermen contacted the police to report their dire situation. Before the search and rescue team arrived, a group of citizens on the beach stepped in, using their quick thinking to bring the stranded men to safety. Once back onshore, the trio underwent medical examinations and were found to be in good health. “The cooperation shown by the public was commendable and exemplifies the spirit of community that we hold dear,” a Ras Al Khaimah Police spokesperson said. Authorities issued a reminder to the public to be vigilant about tidal conditions while fishing, swimming, or engaging in water-related activities.
