A suspect has been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 27-year-old Emirati man in the Al Suyoh area, Sharjah Police confirmed. The incident occurred at 12:40am on Tuesday (December 10), resulting in the victim’s death. Authorities revealed that the suspect, also an Emirati, stabbed the victim three times in the leg following an altercation. A friend of the victim transported him to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. According to Sharjah Police, the hospital’s police officer reported the incident to the operations room. The victim’s body has been transferred to the forensic laboratory for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. Meanwhile, Al Suyoh Police station has launched an investigation into the events leading up to the stabbing. Witnesses in the area have been interviewed as part of the investigation. Authorities are also analyzing surveillance footage from nearby locations to piece together the sequence of events. Police have urged the public to avoid speculation and allow the investigation to proceed. Further details about the suspect’s motives and background are expected to emerge as investigations progress.
