Update: Emirati teen missing in surf at Kalba beach found

  SHARJAH - Rescuers on Sunday (November 5) found the body of a 14-year-old Emirati who went missing after apparently being caught by currents at Kalba beach in Sharjah on Saturday (November 4). Police said the teen was swimming with two Emirati youngsters, aged 12 and 15, when the group was swept away by the currents. Police were able to rescue the two Emiratis, who said they tried to hold on to their friend in the water before he slipped away. Rescue boats were seen patrolling the Kalba beach in search of the third teenager. Swimmers have been told to avoid the waters as rescue operations continued. Meanwhile, police said that the two Emirati youngsters that were rescued have been discharged from hospital after receiving treatment.
