Emirati reported missing in Saudi desert found alive

An Emirati man who has been missing in a Saudi desert since Saturday has been found. Ahmed Al Menhali was found on Tuesday (January 2) following an exhaustive search of the Al Rub Al Khali desert. Dozens of volunteer teams, including Saudi tribesmen, combed the desert to find the young Emirati after his family lost contact with him following his call from a petrol station. He said he was driving to his farm in Saudi Arabia. It was later revealed that Al Menhali lost his way after his vehicle ran out of fuel in the desert. He was driving a white Nissan Patrol with a UAE plate number. A search operation was launched in the Al Tuwair area, located east of Saudi Arabia and near the UAE border. ICA/Expat Media
