More than Dh2.3 million of financial support from 107 UAE nationals who took up fake jobs in the private sector has been recovered by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MoHRE). These people benefited from the Nafis program, which gives Emiratis cash incentives and other advantages to encourage them to work in the private sector. The ministry advised UAE citizens not to fall into the trap of bogus jobs given by businesses trying to avoid meeting Emiratization goals. MoHRE said in a statement, "Our systems track companies’ compliance with hiring Emiratis in real jobs, paying their salaries as agreed in their contracts through the Wage Protection System (WPS) and as shown in the digital link between the Ministry and pension funds in the UAE.” "We also have an effective smart inspection system and conduct regular field visits to companies employing Emiratis," the ministry added.
