Filipino actor Enrique Gil is set to bring star power to the Philippine Independence Day celebration at the Dubai World Trade Center this Saturday (June 14), joining a festive line-up of cultural and entertainment programs. Gil will be performing alongside fellow artist Carmela Lorzano during the day-long event, which will run from 8am to 8pm at Exhibition Halls 1 and 2. Organized by the Filipino Social Club (FilSoc), the event aims to draw more than 45,000 attendees, making it one of the largest gatherings of Filipinos in the UAE this year. “We want to give the Filipino community an unforgettable celebration filled with music, culture, and unity,” according to the Filipino Social Club in a statement. Attendees can look forward to a vibrant program featuring UAE-based Filipino talents, cultural and modern shows, competitions, a bazaar, and other attractions that highlight Filipino heritage and creativity.
