Etihad Airways has confirmed that all scheduled commercial flights to and from Abu Dhabi are suspended until 6am UAE time on Friday (March 6). The airline said a limited number of repositioning, cargo and repatriation flights are operating in coordination with UAE authorities and remain subject to strict operational and safety approvals. Select services are currently available for travel on March 4 and 5, where approvals have been confirmed. Etihad Airways said safety remains its absolute priority and flights will operate only once all required safety criteria are met. Passengers have been urged not to travel to the airport unless they have purchased or been issued a confirmed booking within the last 24 hours. Access to the airport will be restricted for travellers without confirmed documentation. The airline also advised guests to check their flight status on its website before heading to the airport and to ensure their contact details are updated in their booking. Passengers holding Etihad tickets issued on or before February 28, with original travel dates up to March 10 may rebook free of charge onto Etihad-operated flights up to March 31. Travellers scheduled to fly until March 10 may also request a refund online or through their travel agent.
