Expat Media has been awarded by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) with a special certificate of recognition for Outstanding Media Services in connection with its work on the “From UAE With Love” campaign. The initiative, launched in March 2018 during the Year of Zayed, was conceptualized to promote charitable giving across the UAE. As the event and marketing management partner for MOHRE, Expat Media spearheaded the campaign that saw participation from thousands of residents, students, and organizations across the emirates. Gift boxes filled with toys and inspirational notes were collected from schools and individuals across the UAE in a month-long campaign that culminated in a 3-day activation at City Centre Mirdif in Dubai. The gift boxes were later distributed to underprivileged children in Syria via the UAE Red Crescent. “This shows how children in the UAE care for their neighbouring countries. I hope the condition of people will become better by this small help from us,” said Rafia Zafar Ali, principal of Leaders Private School in Sharjah, where over 500 personalized boxes were donated. Nord Anglia International School Dubai also contributed significantly with more than 1,500 boxes collected. “There are no limits to what we can do for ourselves and for others. As we begin to put the needs of others before ourselves, we start to learn how much more we can achieve,” said principal Mathew Farthing. The campaign’s main event was a three-day activation held from March 17 to 19 at City Centre Mirdif. Donation points were also established at participating schools across the country. Expat Media also helped rally support from key sponsors including Union Coop, City Centre Mirdif, and a range of schools and corporate entities. GAD/Expat Media
