Expect more rain, 'hazardous weather' in UAE this week

  DUBAI - This week's wet weather will continue until Tuesday, according to National Meteorology Centre (NMC), which also forecast "hazardous' weather conditions. On Sunday, rain fell on parts of Dubai, Sharjah, Dibba in Fujairah, Al Ain, Umm Al Quwain and Abu Dhabi. On Saturday, heavy rain fell on parts of Al Hamra, Fujairah, Jebel Jais, Khor Fakkan, Ras Al Khaimah, Ruwais, Umm Al Ashtan and Umm Al Quwain. There were also reports of hail in parts of Abu Dhabi and Dibba in Fujairah. NMC said more rain is expected on Sunday, particularly in the northern and southen regions. In an advisory, the NMC warned residents in the country's northern and southern areas to “be on the alert; hazardous weather events are forecast."
