Expo City Dubai offers free entry to Ramadan festival, night market

From March 3, Expo City Dubai is hosting a Ramadan festival and night market that promise an “enchanting atmosphere, delicious food and exciting activities.” Called Hai Ramadan, the festival will run until April 25. Hai Ramadan will be open from 4pm to 10pm in the run-up to Ramadan, and from 5pm to 2am during the holy month. Entry is free. The festival will feature shows, sports activities, workshops, games and a night market. Foodies will also love Hai Ramadan, which will feature regional cuisines and street food. “We are excited that our visitors will be able to rejoice in some of the world’s most famous and well-known Ramadan traditions in a single destination,” said Amna Abulhoul, Executive Creative Director at Expo City Dubai. A dedicated mosque on site will host prayers, including Isha and the special Taraweeh and Tahajjud prayers. Storytellers will narrate folktales after Taraweeh prayers. A theatrical show will be held at Al Wasl Plaza and will feature Expo 2020 Dubai’s official mascots. For sports lovers, Expo City Dubai will have a dedicated zone for games and other fitness activities. ICA/Expat Media
