Expo City Dubai is opening two of its most popular cultural attractions to the public free of charge as part of celebrations marking International Museum Day. Visitors will enjoy complimentary access to Vision Dubai from May 16 to 18 and the Expo 2020 Dubai Museum from May 18 to 19. According to Expo City Dubai, the initiative celebrates this year’s International Museum Day theme, Museums Uniting a Divided World, while reinforcing the UAE’s cultural identity and shared values. The centrepiece is Vision Dubai, an immersive, multi-sensory experience inspired by My Story: 50 Memories from 50 Years of Service, written by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The Expo 2020 Dubai Museum is also reopening free of charge, giving guests the chance to revisit one of the most significant global events hosted by the UAE. Interactive exhibits revisit the six-month world exposition through stories of innovation, sustainability and international collaboration. Chief of Education and Culture at Expo City Dubai Marjan Faraidooni said: "In celebration of International Museum Day, we are proud to welcome the community to explore this cherished legacy and rekindle memories of the World Expo experience, discovering the human stories that define our history and continue to inspire our collective vision for the years ahead.” Visitors can also access Terra – The Sustainability Pavilion for Dh20, where interactive galleries explore biodiversity and environmental conservation. Families with young children can enjoy the indoor Taqa Island play zone.
