Authorities in Dubai confirmed that falling debris struck the façade of a building in the Downtown area on Friday morning (March 13), with no injuries reported. According to the Dubai Media Office, the incident occurred as a result of debris from an aerial interception. “The competent authorities confirmed a minor incident resulting from falling debris due to an interception which is being dealt with on the facade of a building in downtown Dubai, with no injuries reported,” the Dubai Media Office said in a statement. The incident follows two separate drone-related events reported in the city on Thursday. Officials said a drone fell on a residential building in Dubai Creek Harbour during the early hours of March 12. Emergency teams responded quickly and residents were evacuated as a precaution. Civil Defence teams also extinguished a small fire that broke out shortly after the drone impact. “The incident was fully contained, ensuring the safety of all residents, with no injuries reported,” according to the Dubai Media Office. Later on Thursday, authorities reported another minor incident involving debris on the façade of a building along Sheikh Zayed Road. Officials said the debris resulted from a successful aerial interception. No injuries were reported and authorities said the situation was quickly handled. The incidents come as the UAE continues to monitor regional developments. According to the UAE Ministry of Defence, the country’s air defence systems have intercepted hundreds of incoming projectiles since February 28. Officials also confirmed six fatalities involving Emirati, Pakistani, Nepali and Bangladeshi nationals, along with 131 injuries of varying severity involving residents from multiple nationalities. Authorities said emergency services remain on alert and urged the public to follow official updates.
