A family was successfully rescued off the coast of Sharjah after their canoe experienced a malfunction, with the assistance of the National Centre for Search and Rescue. The canoe reportedly malfunctioned approximately 13 nautical miles from Sharjah Creek. The authorities immediately identified the location of the incident and dispatched a search and rescue boat to assist the family and retrieve the damaged canoe. The authority has advised seafarers to regularly check the safety of their maritime vessels and follow all precautionary measures.
