‘Fanciest’ Night Market in Dubai spotted

A new Night Market that opened along Dubai’s Al Muraqqabat Street appears to be the fanciest market of its kind in the emirate. The Winter Market in Dubai Al Muraqqabat, managed by Ahl Al Wafa, sits next to the newly constructed Asiana Grand Hotel. Entrance is free. You won’t ever have to worry about stepping on dirt or gravel since the dining area, which is the first thing that greets you, sits on a raised wooden platform, and their market area is mostly carpeted. Dining in? You can expect to enjoy your food in class as you sit on tufted chairs. Non of those uncomfortable benches made from repurposed pallets. Even the food packaging is fancy. The sapin-sapin (a Filipino dessert made of glutinous rice) for Dh15 came in a nice plastic container with branding. Street food for Dh5 were placed in plastic cups. The place is definitely smaller than most night markets, but there’s quite a few stores to explore once you are inside. It’s also not as crowded (at least for now). There are still several stores that have yet to open. Just want to hang out? Take a seat in the receiving area with a carpet and several Arabian-inspired sofas. You won’t have to worry about troublemakers here as there is a security guard right at the entrance. This night market is definitely picture perfect, with fancy lights hanging overhead to remind you of comets or a constellation of stars. And if you’re looking for action, you can catch Efren Reyes moves at three pool tables by the entrance.
