Defendant also accused by victims of forcing them to steal money from their father

DUBAI – A 34-year-old farmer has been accused of raping two Pakistani brothers, aged 16 and 12, and threatening to post naked photos of the victims online. The defendant, who is also a Pakistani national, was accused by the two boys of forcing them to steal money from their father. The elder of the two brothers told the Dubai Criminal Court that he met the defendant in September last year. "He was often in our neighborhood in Al Rashidiya. We chatted a few times then met often, One day he took me in his car for a visit to the park, he asked me to have sex and offered me Dh20. When I said no, he beat me up," the teenager said. He also said the defendant abused him several times and beat him up also.. One time, he said the defendant took a video of him while he was naked. "He threatened to post the recording on the internet if I did not film my younger brother naked. I felt scared and did what he asked, then sent him the recording," he said. The defendant then allegedly threatened and raped the younger brother. The two brothers also accused the defendant of forcing them to steal money from their father. When their father noticed that he had been missing some amounts in cash, it was then that the victims told him what happened to them. The father informed the police, which led to the farmer's arrest last January 29 in Al Khawaneej. The defendant admitted to police that he gave the brothers between Dh20 and Dh40 every time he abused them but denied forcing them to steal money from their father. Police found nude photos of the two boys in the defendant's mobile phone. The farmer was charged with raping minors, abusing minors in pornographic material by recording them naked, making a sex recording of the brothers, possessing child pornography, abusing telecommunications to assault the privacy of the siblings, threatening his victims, physically assaulting them and forcing them to steal. A next hearing on the case is scheduled on May 21.
