Luck struck a Filipino expat in Dubai just in time for Fast Visa Run’s fifth anniversary celebration, where Gerald Casimero walked away with a ₱50,000 (Dh3,233) cash prize as the grand raffle winner. The award ceremony took place at Radisson Blu Dubai Deira Creek on Saturday (October 18), where Fast Visa Run marked five years of helping UAE residents and visitors with quick and legal visa services. For Casimero, the win was nothing short of unexpected. “This was my second time to exit the UAE to change my visa via Fast Visa Run, and my second exit was on the day before the draw,” Casimero told Expat Media. “Our travel agent told us about the raffle mechanics, and we managed to join at the last minute. Luckily, my name was drawn!” It was his first time to ever win a raffle draw in Dubai. The 31-year-old, originally from Bacolod City, arrived in the UAE last May and is currently on the lookout for job opportunities in electrical engineering. When asked about what he plans to do with the prize money, Casimero laughed and said, “My manager will have to decide,” referring to his girlfriend, with whom he currently lives in Dubai along with his uncle. “To Fast Visa Run, thank you for this and congratulations on your fifth anniversary.
