Filipina found dead in International City

  DUBAI - Police investigation is ongoing to find out the circumstances surrounding the death of a Filipino woman in Dubai's International City. The Filipina has been identified as Angel Pauya Trasadas, 35. Police said Trasadas, who worked as a part-time housemaid in one of the apartments in International City's China cluster, bled to death last week. Trasadas was reportedly pregnant out of wedlock and had overstayed her visa in the country since 2016. Police have declined to give details, but said that an investigation is underway. Trasadas is survived by her two children, aged 8 and 11. Trasadas hailed from General Santos in the Philippines where she was raised by her aunt after she was orphaned at the age of 3. The Filipina was a single parent and had decided to find work in the UAE to raise her children. She  worked in Al Ain as a housemaid for two years before doing various cleaning jobs. The Philippine Consulate General has said Trasadas' remains will be repatriated once police investigations are complete.
