A Filipina security guard in Al Ain has become a new Big Ticket millionaire, winning Dh1 million in the latest draw. Christine Requerque Pedido, 36, won the life-changing prize in the popular e-draw series on her very first ticket, leaving her in disbelief. Currently residing in company accommodation in Al Ain, Pedido works hard to support her family in the Philippines. Her journey with Big Ticket began six years ago during her first stint in the UAE, but financial constraints prevented her from buying a ticket. After returning to the UAE earlier this year, she saw Big Ticket promotions on Facebook and decided to try her luck. “To win on my very first ticket feels absolutely surreal,” said Pedido, beaming with excitement. “I never expected this to happen, but it proves that luck can find you when you least expect it.” Pedido’s winnings were the result of a group effort. She and ten colleagues pooled their resources to purchase the ticket, a strategy that proved life-changing. “We’re still deciding whether to save the prize money or invest it in a business,” she shared. “Either way, we’ll continue working and trying our luck with more Big Ticket entries.” The group is already looking forward to the live draw on January 3 and hopes their winning streak continues. Pedido offered an inspiring message to other hopefuls: “Stay hopeful and take a chance.” Big Ticket’s December e-draw series rewards Dh1 million weekly. This culminates in a grand draw on January 3, where one lucky participant will win Dh30 million. Car enthusiasts also have a chance to win a Maserati Grecale. Tickets are via bigticket.ae or at counters located in Zayed International Airport and Al Ain Airport.
