  DUBAI – A Filipina became the newest millionaire in the UAE after bagging the grand prize of Dh1 million in a raffle draw for Emirates Islamic. Lisa Marie Mercado received her token cheque from Emirates Islamic for the Kunooz Savings Account draw in August, the bank announced on Sunday (October 27). Mercado has been a customer of Emirates Islamic for five years. “I started saving with Kunooz about two years ago with the hope that my dreams will come true one day. I can't thank Emirates Islamic enough for giving me this wonderful opportunity to achieve all my goals," Mercado said. Customers with a minimum balance of Dh5,000 in their Kunooz Savings Account stand a chance to win Dh1 million or a Tesla car. Those with a daily minimum balance of Dh1,000 can also win one of five cash prizes worth Dh3,000 every day.
