Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) marked its 20th anniversary this week with a celebration that gave thousands of Dubai commuters plenty to smile about. As part of the citywide festivities, passengers on the Dubai Metro, Tram, and bus network received surprise gifts and exclusive discounts in a month-long campaign honouring two decades of RTA’s public service. Among the lucky recipients was Filipina commuter Carla Marquez, who took home an Entertainer UAE 2026 booklet, offering access to more than 10,000 two-for-one deals across restaurants, attractions, and activities. "This morning there was a ticket inspection on the tram. In the afternoon, I got a call saying I won because the inspector saw I’ve been using the tram for three years," Marquez said in Filipino. Throughout November, commuters can collect limited-edition RTA 20th anniversary Nol cards from all Dubai Metro stations, available through ticket vending machines and kiosks. The collectible cards mark a special milestone in the city’s journey toward smart, sustainable mobility. The RTA has also partnered with Roxy Cinemas to offer 20 percent off movie tickets using the code RTA20 until November 5, and 20 percent cashback on Noon orders with the same promo code. Until November 15, commuters can visit Emirates NBD kiosks at Burjuman, Union, and Mall of the Emirates Metro Stations to receive giveaways and learn about the Go4it Card, a combined Nol and banking card designed for frequent travelers.
