Filipino boxer Jayson Vayson beat India’s NT Lalbiakkima to win the WBC Asian Boxing Council’s continental light flyweight title fight in Dubai. Vayson gave Lalbiakkima his first career loss in the June 18 match that lasted ten rounds at the Dubai World Trade Center. Vayson extended his undefeated record to 10 wins. All three judges awarded the fight unanimously to Vayson, who is ranked 47th in the world. Judges scored it 97-94, 97-93 and 96-94 in favor of Vayson. The Filipino used his height advantage to keep Lalbiakkima at arms-length throughout the fight, and also landed aggressive right hooks, clean left jabs and body blows on the Indian fighter.
