Filipino couple rescued from drowning in Khor Fakkan

  KHOR FAKKAN – Two Filipinos were rescued from drowning after their jet ski overturned in Khor Fakkan beach. On Saturday, a Khor Fakkan resident was driving his car near the beach when he heard loud screams coming from the sea. Otham Al Naqbi said that he spotted the couple struggling in the water, away from their jet ski. Al Naqbi then called 999 before rescuing the couple and bringing them to shore. When the police arrived, the couple were given first aid treatment and then taken to the hospital. This was the second incident on UAE beaches this week. On Friday, a man died after swimming in the waters off Ajman cornice. He was pulled out of the water by a lifeguard but died on the way to the hospital.
