Dubai-based socio-civic volunteer and PR consultant Art “Popoy” Los Baños was included in the inaugural The Philippines' Top 30 Filipino Leaders on LinkedIn list. Los Baños is in the company of motivational speakers and marketing gurus such as Chinkee Tan, Francis Kong, Josiah Go, and Dean Pax Lapid, among others. The list was compiled by IMS Learning & Consulting and Coach Anda in collaboration with VB Consulting and in partnership with Marketing in Asia, ABS-CBN News Channel, Great Place To Work Philippines and the Asian Institute of Management. Los Baños was recognized for his professional and personal contributions as Senior Manager for Corporate Communications of the Tristar Group and as member and leader of his own advocacy movement Filipino Excellence in the Middle East with his wife, Dubai-based journalist Rachel Salinel. The many hats Los Baños wear were highlighted by the creators of the LinkedIn initiative comprising Ian Santos of IMS Learning & Consulting, Anda Goseco of Coach Anda, and Virginia Bautista of VB Consulting. They noted that “aside from being a successful professional as the only Filipino in the senior management team of the Tristar Group, Los Baños has always shared his time and talent with the Filipino Community in the UAE, with Filipinos globally, and even with Africans and Mozambicans in Mozambique as the Mission Country Coordinator of Couples for Christ." "I am sharing this recognition with my fellow Global Filipinos in the UAE who are doing well in their respective professions or work assignments and who are also serving their kababayans (compatriots) through their Time, Talent and even Treasure," Los Baños said. Los Banos has been named for four years as one of the Most Influential Filipinos in the Gulf by Illustrado Magazine and was a recipient of the 2019 Philippine Pride Award in Public Relations by the Philippine Business Council - Abu Dhabi.
