The sand art by Filipino artist Nathaniel Alapide.

Jumeirah Group wrapped up its annual cultural event, Spirit Week, with a remarkable tribute to its global teams, featuring a breathtaking sand art installation by renowned UAE-based Filipino sand artist, Nathaniel Alapide. Alapide, known for his large-scale sand murals, created a 30-meter by 40-meter sand art masterpiece on Jumeirah’s beachfront, celebrating the company’s journey and its employees' contributions. The artwork, which prominently featured Jumeirah’s iconic global properties, including the Burj Al Arab, commemorates the luxury hospitality brand’s growth and success. The tribute also symbolized gratitude to the team members who have been pivotal in the company’s expansion to 29 properties worldwide. "This creation is a tribute to the amazing team at Jumeirah, whose efforts have made the brand a global leader in luxury hospitality," Alapide said. The artwork included depictions of key Jumeirah properties from London to the Maldives, showcasing the international impact of the brand. This year’s Spirit Week, marking its third edition, focused on reinforcing the company’s core values. Previous tributes included high-profile displays on Sheikh Zayed Road and messages projected on the Burj Al Arab, but this year’s installation took a more personal approach, honoring employees directly. Jumeirah’s leadership emphasized that the sand art installation highlights the company's dedication to talent development and its commitment to nurturing a supportive community for its teams. Alapide’s work was a fitting end to a week-long celebration that included events across all 29 global properties. ICA/Expat Media
