The Filipino Social Club said it is aspiring to have its own auditorium, sports facilities and medical centre in the future. The Filipino Social Club Dubai and the Pakistan Association Dubai.SUPPLIED This came after the Filipino Social Club Dubai and the Pakistan Association Dubai (PAD) recently held talks on “future collaborations” between the communities “During our brotherly meeting, we discussed future collaborations benefiting our communities. We're committed to working together in cultural, sports, and welfare activities,” the Filipino Social Club said in a statement. “PAD generously shared strategies for community integration, inspiring us to achieve similar milestones like having their own land, sports facilities, auditorium, and medical centre,” it added. The Filipino Social Club delegation comprised of President Ericson Reyes, Vice President Ellanie Villena, Auditor and Membership Director Ruzell Aguilar, and Director for Sponsorship Cecillia Leoparte. PAD is one of the pioneering community groups in Dubai since 1963. It is licensed by the Community Development Authority in Dubai. In 2015, it opened a 750-capacity auditorium “solely built by contributions from the Pakistani community." PAD also opened a non-profit healthcare facility in 2020 to provide "free and affordable treatment to deserving patients of all nationalities across the UAE." ICA/Expat Media
