Filipinos killed in Abu Dhabi car crash

  DUBAI – Four Filipinos were killed and two others seriously injured in a car crash in Abu Dhabi, according to reports on Sunday. The victims were identified as Veronica Dulay, Ian Elli, Marvin Mendoza, and the driver, Daniel Paulo Paraiso. Paraiso's sister, Ana Paula, and another passenger, Mary Anne Mendoza, survived and are currently receiving treatment at a hospital in the capital. The Abu Dhabi-bound group was reportedly on a road trip for Visita Iglesia, a Filipino tradition of visiting seven churches on Good Friday. They were traveling on Al Shahama on Friday morning when the tyre of their vehicle exploded. Read update to this story Paraiso, along with Elli and Mendoza, went out of the vehicle to check the damage when a speeding vehicle crashed into their car from the rear. It is believed that they were killed on impact. The victims were rushed to the Khalifa Hospital were they were declared dead.
