Now that the school year is in full swing, Dubai Police reminds motorists to adhere to traffic laws to ensure safe school transportation. One important traffic safety rule is that all vehicles must come to a complete stop when the school bus extends the stop sign. Upon seeing the stop sign, motorists must make a full stop at a distance of five metres from the school bus. They can then continue to drive when the stop sign is off and the bus starts moving. Those who fail to comply with this traffic rule will be fined Dh1,000 and receive 10 black points. FLE/Expat Media
