Fines on paid parking in Al Khail from July 1

DUBAI - Motorists who park in Dubai's Al Khail Gate from July 1 onwards will be fined if they violate the community's paid parking rules. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) activated parking metres in the residential community on Monday, but said it is giving motorists a leniency period. Some tenants who applied for parking permits have reportedly been told by RTA staff that fines will start to be imposed after July 1 due to a huge rush of applicants for parking permits. In a statement, the RTA confirmed that the authority is practicing a two-week leniency period for new parking zones to help residents or visitors become aware of the implementation of parking rules.
